  • 20 workstations plus 1 instructor station

  • SmartBoard technology in Labs 4 and 5
  • Ability to electronically “join” Labs 3 and 4, providing instructional opportunities for up to 40 students at one sitting.
  • Access to BSOS software and the Internet
  • Access to pay-for-print printing (both color and black & white)
  • Dedicated black & white printing in Lab 5

The following applications are loaded onto the lab PCs:

  • Microsoft Office

There are 2 computers in Lab 2 that are specifically designed to handle graphics intensive tasks, like image manipulation and scanning. Each PC is connected to a flatbed scanner, which allows users to scan hard copy documents and/or photos and convert them to PDF. These computers are self-service and first-come first-serve.

Labs may be reserved for purposes other than official University of Maryland classes, based on availability.  The current room rental rate is $50 per hour.  Additional costs will be incurred if special software installations and/or after hours support is required.  Please note that OACS requires at least two weeks notice for special software installations.

Saturday – Sunday 9:00am – 5:00pm
